Samsung Galaxy Gio S5660 Android Phone




Gio, in Indian terms its known as Long Live. Yes, at least by the launches and products of Samsung it looks like Samsung is here to become no less than a fastest growing mobile manufacturer. So, Samsung now comes up with its new product dubbed as Gio S5660 which is an Android based mobile phone.

If we talk of its offering then this phone comes with an Qualcomm QCT MSM7227-1 Turbo processor whose processing speed is 800 MHz which runs on Android 2.2 operating system. This phone also comes with Quad-band GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900 dual-band 3G HSDPA: 900, 2100 ready device with 158 MB of RAM with a maximum microSD card support of 32 GB. This phone comes with a 3.2-inch, HVGA 320 x 480 pixel TFT capacitive touchscreen which supports 16 million colors and sports two touch-sensitive keys which gives an exact look of the most popular phone of Samsung Galaxy S. Also, this phone includes support of various other features like Accelerometer sensor which is very useful for auto rotating the screen and also comes with Samsung’s proprietary touch Wiz v3.0 which gives no less experience than Apple’s revolutionary touch experience. This phone comes with 150 MB of inbuilt memory.

Adding to the list of feature sets, this device also sports includes GPRS, EDGE, 3G HSDPA 7.2 Mbps download speed, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/N Wireless LAN with DLNA, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR with A2DP wireless connection, GPS with Assisted GPS (A-GPS) , Google Earth and micro USB 2.0 which will never let you down in terms of connectivity. Also, with digital compass, proximity sensor, 3.5 mm jack, light sensor, latest Google Maps, Google Voice this also equips a 5MP camera with an LED flash and also comes with the advanced capability of Geo tagging. The disadvantage of this mobile device is that it does not come with any front-facing camera for video calling.

If we talk of battery life then this mobile device comes with 1350Mah Lithium ion battery which promises to deliver up to a talktime of talk time of up to 6.7 hours on 3G (about 11 hours on 2G) and standby time up to 17.8 days on 3G ( about 29.7 days on 2G) network.
